ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q

At Dello Russo Laser Vision, we use the ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q system for its unmatched technological excellence and superior results. This advanced system combines state-of-the-art wavefront mapping technology with a high-speed excimer laser and eye movement tracking system to produce remarkable results.

The ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q system employs a Wavefront Optimized tool to create a highly detailed, three-dimensional map of your eye, charting out any unique aberrations in your cornea and allowing our surgeons to customize the laser sculpting to the shape of your eye. This technology improves upon older methods by more effectively compensating for the curve of your cornea. Extra pulses are sent to the peripheral areas of the cornea to account for the unique shape of the cornea, which, along with the power of a 1mm laser, allows our surgeons to eliminate the risk of unwanted side effects such as poor night vision, glare and halos.

The ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q system also features a PerfectPulse Technology that is largely responsible for the speed, accuracy and safety of our laser vision correction procedure. A high-speed tracker monitors the fastest movements of your eye (400 times a second) to ensure that the laser is placed in exactly the right location on your cornea. Additionally, a smart energy control function calibrates the energy level of the laser beam to exactly the right level of intensity, passing the controlled beam through three checkpoints before it reaches its destination on the surface of your eye. Together, these features make ALLEGRETTO WAVE Eye-Q one of the safest and most accurate technologies available in the United States today.

Intralase FS Laser

Dello Russo Laser Vision is proud to offer our patients the option of blade-less laser Custom LASIK with our state-of-the-art Intralase FS laser (femtosecond laser). Dr. Dello Russo was the first Lasik Surgeon to purchase the laser in 2000 - one year before the first commercial laser was even available. Dr. Dello Russo introduced the laser to his practice in 2001 - knowing it would revolutionize Lasik.

Intralase has revolutionized the first stage of Custom LASIK surgery, which up until now has required the use of a mechanical blade called a microkeratome to create the corneal flap, by replacing that blade with safer, more accurate laser technology for the system. The narrow beam size and rapid pulse of this FDA-approved laser allow Custom LASIK surgeons to target the exact depth and location at which to create the flap, resulting in precise, predictable flap incisions. In addition, use of this laser in the procedure to create the flap avoids possible complications from the high eye pressure induced when using the microkeratome blade. The results: precise, predictable incisions and greater flap stability following your procedure. If you would like to learn more about the Custom Cornea system, which makes use of the ALLEGRETTO Wave™ Eye-Q system, and blade-less LASIK with our Intralase laser , please Contact Dello Russo Laser Vision today.
